Olga is helping me a lot pronounce Russian letters correctly , and especially how to place the stress on syllables, which seems to be the real challenge, more than the alphabet itself. If you put the stress on the wrong syllable, you can end up with a totally different word! She also provides me with very helpful material. Definitely a challenging language, but I'm confident of being in very good hands and improving quickly. Highly recommended teacher.

Wow, I learned so much during my very first lesson with Olga. I thought I knew a bit of pronunciation, but she clarified so many things for me.
She also put together a great program for me to work on, and sent me homework to practice what I learned today. Loving it!
Olga is a great teacher and she made it fun too. If you want to learn Russian, I highly encourage you to choose her

I've had just one lesson thus far. But she was funny, kind, and patient. All excellent qualities!
About me - English
Hi! My name is Olga and I am a native Russian speaker. I lived in Russia until the age of 22 before coming to the US 15 years ago. I have been teaching Russian as a second language for 10 years.
Qualifications & Experience
As a home-schooling parent, I have taught a full array of subjects for 14 years. Most of my experience, however, is in teaching Russian as a second language, which I have done professionally for 10 years at St. Jonah of Manchuria Russian school in Des Plaines, IL. I have developed complete teaching curricula for Russian language students aged 4 to 14, ranging from basic language skills to Russian at a college academic level to students with advanced skills in the Russian language.
Teaching Approach
I like to incorporate a variety of materials to my curriculum. I build step-by-step lesson plans according to the learner's needs according to their abilities and learning style. My lessons will be tailored to the individual student's needs allowing each student to learn at their own pace, and style (visual, audio, etc.) I look forward to working with anyone, young or old, from beginners to students already moderately acquainted with the Russian language, to bring you to the level of knowledge you desire.
