My name is Christiane. I am a native German instructor and fluent in German, English and French. I was born and raised in the north of Germany and speak High German without any dialect.
After completing my language studies, I went abroad and lived in London, Paris and Belfast before moving to Hanover.
In 2001, I started teaching German for private language schools and adult education centers. In addition, I taught one-on-one, in person-lessons for business people, expats and students who needed private tutoring.
In 2015, I started teaching Skype online lessons and really enjoy the flexibility it offers.
Qualifications & Experience
Since 2001 freelance German teacher and translator
As a freelance German teacher, I have specialized in teaching group, adult, private and children's classes offering face-to-face and online classes at private language schools (inlingua, MR education services), adult education centers (vhs Ostkreis Hannover, vhs Region Hannover), and online platforms (Skype, Zoom, WebEx) for business people, expats, students and individuals.
1997 - 2001 In house translator and German teacher for two international companies
1995 – 1996 Educational internships in Northern Ireland and France
1995 Diploma as a certified translator for German, English, and French from Englisches Institut Heidelberg.
Teaching Approach
Whether you need help understanding the basics of the German language or you are more interested in improving your German language skills, I can help you whatever your level may be. I have experience in teaching group and private lessons and can teach beginners to advanced levels.
I offer:
German classes for everyday situations
German conversation classes
German classes for business people (e.g. telephone training, writing e-mails, preparing presentations)
German classes for technical engineers (IT systems, automation and drive systems)
I enjoy working with any level of student whether you are just learning how to read and write in German or are more advanced. Perhaps German is your second language and you would like to increase your vocabulary and pronunciation skills for work or you need to brush up on your German because you have not spoken it for a while. Maybe you need to take the German "TELC exam", or you need a B2 level because you want to study or work in Germany. I only use official learning methods and will work with you to achieve your goals.
