French tutor for woman and children (no men sorry :-)) Hello there!

Thanks for reading my profile 😊. My name is Genevieve, I’m a French tutor for level A1/C1 for almost 2 years on Verbalplanet! I am french and I have some african roots as well, my grandpa were from Senegal. I've been passionate about reading and languages since childhood. That's why I've been travelling throught Egypt, Senegal, Emirates, Uk, Italia... I have been living in Egypt for almost 2 years, I left my parisian lifestyle and I focused on learnind arabic language. It was an amazing experience, hard and funny at the same time. That's how I know that learning a new language may be a hard journey. That's why students need support and efficient tools throught this beautiful journey. I use to be a teacher in kindergarden and elementary school for 3 years. I do love reading, cooking, travelling, but most of all, I love teaching! I do teach adults (woman only) and children from age 5.

From the first lesson my goal will be to understand yours and to build a special program so you can reach your goals. I’m an easy going conversational tutor. I can help you prepare your exams (delf, dalf, tcf…) as I can help you becoming more fluent. I do not juge my students, I do not blame them or put any pressure on them. As you can read it yourself, I know for sure that learning a new language and being able to express yourself trough this language isn’t that easy! That’s why I’m always trying to make my lessons as funny as possible. I can teach you:

I obtained my baccalaureate then a university degree in Paris where I was studying French literature.

I actually starting tutoring when I was in high school, I just use to help some little girl to make their homework. Then I started tutoring in association when I was graduating in College. I followed a Montessori traineeship which has been very usefull for me to get how to teach young learner.

I had the chance to move in Morocco 6 years ago with my husband and our kids. It’s one of the best experience in my life! For 3 years I was a French teacher at a kindergarten and elementary school in Morocco. Then I started teaching on Verbalplanet almost 2 years ago. I feel really blessed that I can meet amazing personalities from all around the world and adorable children every day. This is what I love about Verbalplanet experience: meeting my students, talking, smiling, exchanging with them and seing their progress.

When I am teaching french language I love to create some short games or to talk about different topics such as the news or every day life from a youtube clip or any article. I want to make sure that students are enjoying the class. The most important is that the student can be able to express himself and to have fun. You really deserve to have this time for you indeed you are a very buisy dude or a retired one.

I really think that improving his french shouldn't be boring or stressfull at all but should be an opportunity to enjoy and get more confident. When students are new beginners I like to use a special book method to make them learning the basis in a quick and funny way. When they already know the basis the most important thing to me is to get them talking and feeling comfortable. In both situations we will use games, have fun and share experiences.

When I teach (young and adults) learners, I really let them space enough to express themselves. This is what every learner need to progress: communication, speaking time, exchange. I do care about my student interests, I adapt my lessons so he can enjoy, have fun and stay focused.

Prof de français pour femmes et enfants (dsl je n'enseigne pas aux hommes :-)) Salut tout le monde!

Je m’appelle Geneviève, je suis française et plus précisément parisienne! J'ai des origines africaines (mon grand père était sénégaais!) Je suis tutrice sur Verbalplanet depuis bientôt 2 ans pour les niveaux compris entre A2 et C1. J'ai enseigné en école maternelle et primaire pendant 3 ans. Je suis passionnée par la littérature et les langues depuis ma plus tendre enfance. C'est la raison pour laquelle j'ai presque fait le tour du monde! L'Egypte,le Sénégal, L'Italie, l'Angleterre, les Emirats... sont des pays que j'ai pu visiter et qui m'ont beaucoup inspiré. J'ai d'ailleurs étudié la langue arabe en Egypte durant environ 2 ans.

J’aime lire, cuisiner, voyager, découvrir de nouvelles cultures… mais plus que tout, j’aime enseigner ! J’enseigne la langue de Molière aux adultes (femmes uniquement) aussi bien qu’aux enfants (à partir de 5ans).

Dès notre première rencontre, je m’appliquerai à cerner vos objectifs, à en discuter avec vous et à mettre en place un programme personnalisé vous permettant d’atteindre ces objectifs.

Je suis très flexible, j’adore le français conversationnel. Je pourrais échanger avec vous autour de thèmes divers et varier en prenant soin de vous corriger et de cibler les notions à travailler. Je peux également vous accompagner dans la préparation de vos concours (delf, dalf, tcf ou autre), ou tout simplement vous accompagner dans votre progression du niveau A2 jusqu’au niveau C1. Je peux vous aider à travailler :

- La prononciation et l’accent

- La grammaire et la conjugaison

- Le vocabulaire

- La fluidité dans le dialogue

- La compréhension de culture française et ce qui l’entoure

J’encourage beaucoup mes élèves. Je sais bien d’après ma propre expérience qu’il n’est pas toujours facile d’apprendre une langue étrangère et d’oser franchir le cap pour parler cette langue. Pour moi les leçons de français doivent rester un moment agréable et amusant. Je donne souvent des devoirs en fonction des disponibilités de mes étudiants. Il peut s’agir d’y consacrer seulement 5 minutes deux ou trois fois par semaine qui vous permettrons de faire la différence.

J'ai obtenu un baccalauréat littéraire à Paris en 2008 (lycée Maurice Ravel). La langue française et surtout la littérature française ont toujours été une passion pour moi. En 2009 j'ai poursuivi cet apprentissage à l'université de l'INALCO (Paris 13e) où j'ai suivi une licence en lettres.

J'ai quitté Paris il y maintenant 6 ans et je me suis installée avec mon mari et mes enfants au Maroc. C'est l'une des plus belles expériences de ma vie!

J'ai travaillé au Maroc en tant qu'enseignante de français dans une école maternelle et primaire privée pendant deux ans.

J'ai aujourd'hui la chance de travailler sur Verbalplanet (depuis bientôt 2 ans!!!). En effet, j’ai l’opportunité de travailler dans de très bonnes conditions, et surtout de rencontrer des personnes merveilleuses, amusantes, intéressantes, différentes chaque jours.

Lorsque j'enseigne la langue française, il s'agit d'un échange mutuel. Je veux que le cours soit ludique et que l'étudiant se sente écouté. J'aime mettre en place de petits exercices sous forme de jeux pour renforcer l'expression orale de l'étudiant.

L’un des secrets de mes cours est que je laisse un maximum d’espace à l’apprenant pour qu’il puisse s’exprimer. En effet, la progression dans l’apprentissage d’une langue passe avant tout par la communication et l’expression orale. L’élève doit dépasser la gêne et oser parler même s’il commet beaucoup d’erreurs dans un premier temps. Leçon après leçon, effort après effort, nous pourrons constater et évaluer vos progrès !
