Hello everyone, I am Souvik Ghosh from India. I hail from the ‘City of Joy’ Kolkata and I am a Bengali by heart and soul. I graduated in mechanical engineering in 2010 from Jadavpur University, one of the premier engineering institutes in India. Then I joined an oil marketing company and worked there till 2017. But due to my ever inclination to academics, I quit my job in 2017. Since then, I am completely involved in freelancing, private tutoring, and my academic works.

Language is the most vivid way of communication and expressing one’s emotion. It is as if the window to peek into someone’s inner world. Bengali is a language that is endowed with some quintessential literary works by the great Rabindranath Tagore, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, and much more eminent litterateur. Teaching my native language is my passion and I am quite sure if you can learn and master this language, you will fall in love with it!

Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

Working Experience: 7 years of experience in the Petroleum industry. (2010- 2017)

Since 2017 working independently as a freelancer and educator. I tutor in Mathematics and Physics online. Due to my keen interest in literary works, I love to teach Bengali which also enriches my knowledge.

Grammar is the backbone of any language. It's imperative to have a good grasp of the grammar of any language for proper learning. So I give due importance on Bengali grammar and teach those topics which will suffice the student to be fluent in Bengali. Apart from that, I continuously converse with students in Bengali which improves their listening and speaking abilities. I share excerpts of Bengali short stories, which are not too complicated, with the students and encourage them to read and understand the same. Along with the excerpts, I also attach an audio file of my narration of the said excerpt so that the student can compare their pronunciation with mine. And I welcome students to contact me anytime through the concerned learning website and get back to them as soon as possible. I hope, my teaching sessions will encourage you to learn the language passionately.
