seeing the difference between تغير and غير created a maelstrom of realization with verb forms, coincidentally also the topic in my workbook at the moment. a big step in understanding the structure

My first lesson was exceptional—both informative and flexible. Noha was well-prepared, allowing us to create a plan tailored to my needs. I’m excited for our next lesson and didn’t realize learning a language could be this exciting!

Thank you, that was fun, personal and engaging! Looking forward to continue!
My name is Noha, and I am a native speaker of Arabic from Cairo, Egypt. I have a great passion for teaching my language to non-native speakers, and I have spent several years giving advanced-level lessons (both classical and Egyptian dialect) to foreigners.
I am a graduate of the prestigious Dar al-‘Ulum academy at Cairo University where I spent four years studying classical Arabic language and Arab culture for a Bachelor’s degree. I have just completed an M.A. in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language at Cairo University.
When I am not teaching Arabic, I work as a journalist for the weekly economic digest ‘Alam al-Mal in Cairo. I have also published a few short stories in literary magazines in Egypt. As you can see, I love using and exploring my language in a variety of different ways :)
I also have an extremely good command of English, having attended several language-classes at the American University in Cairo (AUC). In addition to completing my regular course-work, I have been teaching myself auto-didactically, watching English and American movies and TV series to gain a better grasp of conversational English. I simply love learning about new languages and cultures! Most recently, I have started learning German.
Teaching for me is very much an interactive process. Apart from conveying my own language, I also hope to communicate my own culture to my students. In Arabic, the two often go hand-in-hand. Many expressions cannot be understood without appreciating their cultural background and the context in which they are used. I hope to convey both and make Arabic as easy and accessible as possible to new students. Nothing makes me happier than watching them make steady progress and become more and more confident using their new skills.

Teaching Approach
Teaching Approach
I try to design my classes according to my students’ individual needs and aspirations, drawing on a range of teaching material to ensure a balance between oral expression, reading, listening and writing.
What is important for me personally is that my students gain confidence in using their language skills with a focus on everyday-life situations, and that is why conversation is an important part of the lessons I give.
I use a wide range of learning materials to make my lessons interesting and full of fun so that the student enjoy practicing the language and challenging themselves to achieve the success they seek.
