Hello, I'm Kai, a passionate language teacher and an enthusiastic language learner. I speak fluent Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, and I'm currently learning Spanish. My native language is Mandarin, and I picked up Cantonese as a teenager before studying English in school, eventually majoring in it as part of my undergraduate studies. Right now, I'm completing my master's degree in Applied Linguistics abroad. My goal is always to support my students in achieving their language goals and to help them succeed every step of the way.

With over 10 years of teaching experience, I have worked with a diverse range of students, from young children to adults, across multiple nationalities. I hold a CELTA qualification and have earned National Certificates from China in Teaching Primary English, Secondary English, and Primary Chinese. In 2022, I achieved an IELTS score at CEFR Level C1, and my English proficiency has continued to improve as I pursue my master's degree in an English-speaking country.

My approach to language teaching is shaped by my own language-learning journey, as well as my academic study of language acquisition. I believe that language learning is a dynamic process influenced by various factors, including individual differences and environmental conditions. Success in language learning depends on a collaborative effort between the learner and the teacher. It requires adaptability and ongoing adjustments to meet the evolving needs of the learning journey. Hence, I strive to create customized lessons that are engaging, effective, and tailored to the individual needs of each student.
