My name is Joanna. I am an experienced teacher of the Polish language.

I teach beginners, "false beginners" and the more advanced.

I have helped to prepare for exams and performances (including wedding vows) but mostly I help to prepare for casual conversations and getting along in Poland. Whether you want to learn Polish to speak to your in-laws or to your colleagues, I will be happy to help you!

I am open, professional and enthusiastic.

I love meeting new people and new cultures. I like to talk about travel, books, work, health, food ... generally about life. :)

I have experience teaching adults in groups and individual classes.

I have worked in private schools, at the university and online. In the classroom: in England, Poland and Croatia. Online: I have taught students from all over the world, mainly from Europe, USA and Canada.

I co-organized the Polish Film Festival, conducted classes on Polish culture and civilization, and organized various events related to Polish culture.

I obtained my qualifications during postgraduate studies in Krakow at the Jagiellonian University. I am still learning, I take part in conferences and trainings. This is my passion! :)

I mainly teach using a communicative method that emphasizes interactions and refers to the personal experiences of the student.

Together with the student, we agree on what our meetings will look like, they can be structured lessons or casual conversations.

I like to work with the flipped classroom method with more advanced students or with "false beginners". The student prepares before the lesson, during which we talk and explain possible ambiguities and grammatical complexities.

I often use authentic materials. I am happy to recommend you a good movie, a beautiful song, as well as interesting podcasts and stories for learners.

I will help you get to know Polish culture better and stay motivated to learn!

Mam na imię Joanna. Jestem doświadczoną lektorką języka polskiego.

Uczę początkujących, "fałszywie początkujących" i tych bardziej zaawansowanych.

Jestem otwarta, profesjonalna i entuzjastyczna.

Uwielbiam poznawać nowych ludzi i nowe kultury. Bardzo chętnie rozmawiam o podróżach, pracy, jedzeniu... generalnie o życiu. :)

Mam doświadczenie w nauczaniu dorosłych w grupach oraz na zajęciach indywidualnych.

Pracowałam w szkołach prywatnych, na uniwersytecie oraz online. Stacjonarnie: w Anglii, w Polsce i w Chorwacji. Online: uczyłam studentów z całego świata, głównie z Europy, USA oraz Kanady.

Współorganizowałam Festiwal Polskich Filmów, prowadziłam zajęcia z polskiej kultury i cywilizacji, a także organizowałam różne eventy związane z polską kulturą.

Kwalifikacje zdobyłam podczas studiów podyplomowych w Krakowie na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim. Do tej pory się uczę, biorę udział w konferencjach i szkoleniach. To moja pasja! :)

Uczę metodą komunikacyjną, która kładzie nacisk na interakcje i odwołuje się do doświadczeń osobistych ucznia.

Razem ze studentem umawiamy się jak będą wyglądać nasze spotkania, to mogą być ustrukturyzowane lekcje lub luźne konwersacje.

Z bardziej zaawansowanymi uczniami lub z "fałszywie początkującymi" lubię pracować metodą klasy odwróconej. Uczeń przygotowuje się przed lekcją, a w jej trakcie rozmawiamy i tłumaczymy ewentualne niejasności i zawiłości gramatyczne.

Często wykorzystuję materiały autentyczne. Chętnie polecę Ci dobry film, piękną piosenkę, a także podcasty i opowiadania dla uczących się.

Pomogę Ci lepiej poznać polską kulturę i utrzymać motywację do nauki!
