Zdrasti, kak si? I'm Chris, a native Bulgarian speaker. My passion about languages dates back from my childhood. I grew up with non-Bulgarian speakers. We would play language games and I would teach them Bulgarian. Silly enough, but this had a huge impact on my life, as today my work includes international human rights and cross-cultural psychology. I volunteered by teaching migrants Bulgarian as a foreign language.

Last year I got certified and now it is my desire to broaden this career through online teaching! :)

As I love learning different languages, my experience has taught me which are the most interesting and useful methods about learning a foreign language. Therefore, my lessons are for all levels and ages.

I did work for 4 years at an NGO, namely by giving lessons to elderly people, children and volunteers in Bulgarian as a Foreign language and English. After being certified, I have managed to become confident enough to teach Bulgarian online.

Last year, I was also certified with TEFL - Teaching English as a Foreign language and Business English, which course provided me with some fresh and novel methodologies of teaching a foreign language. My favorite one - through games and chit-chatting!

A practice I recommend, is by starting with the alphabet and pronunciation. Then, each unit begins with some brief grammar and vocabulary. A couple of short dialogues to learn follow. They include different topics, regarding Bulgarian culture and life.

My aim is to always include various fun ways of applying what we have learned, to associate it with songs or videos, and cool topics for discussion.

Step by step, even after a couple of sessions, you may well be surprised how fast you make a progress! And I will always support you in it!
